What is a Nexus?

A Nexus is a person. That person is me. Does that make sense? Probably not to be honest.

The definition of Nexus is, a connection or link between things, persons, or events especially that is or is part of a chain of causation.

So while you may call me Nexus, Nexus also stands for everything that makes me who I am. All of the music, movies, tv, friends, games, anything that I like that builds up who I am is apart of Nexus.

So this blog is set up to be the universe of Me, aka Nexus.

So often in this world we feel like we don't have a voice, we don't have somewhere that we can be heard or not drowned out. Maybe this doesn't take off, maybe it isn't popular and that doesn't matter to me. This is my safe space.

I hope that it can become that for others too. I have the idea of being able to give others a place to be heard, or to just communicate with me about their opinions on what they have read.

I should say that when I state this is a safe space, I do mean that. I have friends in the LGBTQ+ community, I have friends of all colors, shapes, and sizes. I am a believer in mental health, and know that sometimes you can't help the state your mind is in. Sometimes you can't help it and you need someone to assist you to your better self. I say that because I refuse to allow that in my space. Everyone is allowed their own opinions of course, but I am allowed my opinion to think people who are mean or demeaning are a waste of space.

I am in my 30's now and I just don't have time to beat around the bush anymore. It's not worth it.

Who am I?

So, allow me to fully introduce myself as I have spoken completely in a ranting way above.

I am Nexus, I currently work in IT security, but I have returned to college to get my BA in Forensic Psychology. I am changing my career path, I have gotten to a point where I can't stand it when people are slow to pick up on the basics of technology. I have no patience anymore.

Yes, I have had calls with customers who have said "What do you mean use my mouse? We had a pest service come out, we don't have mice"

You can hear my eye roll I swear.

I have had a love of Psychology my entire life, figuring out why people think and do the things that they do has interested me as long as I can remember.

I have no idea what I am going to do with it yet, but I would love to do something that deals with crime. I don't think that I have the patience to be a counselor.

The Blog....

With this blog I am really hoping that I can go into things that I enjoy. Game reviews, TV and Movie rants and things. Maybe even discussing serial killers or something. I even welcome requests of people asking what they want to see me react to but I am not sure if that will ever happen.
